Permissionless proof generators. Anyone with the hardware can run one.

Role

Sentries are permissionless proof miners. They pull transactions from the mempool, verify ML-DSA-65 signatures, assemble batches of 1,000 transactions, and generate STARK proofs that compress a full batch into a single succinct proof. No stake-based admission, no permission needed.

Proof Generation Economics

Sentry rewards use a windowed proportional model with a window of δ=500ms. Proofs submitted within the window share rewards proportionally. Late submissions are penalized with exponential decay.

Pre-Confirmations

Sentries can issue pre-confirmations that provide soft finality in under 500ms for transactions valued at 0.5 QBIT or less. These are backed by the Sentry's proving bond, providing an economic guarantee of inclusion.
